Focal Kanta No.2 Loudspeaker
The Focal Kanta NĀ°2 is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker totally dedicated to performance. KantaĀ NĀ°2 is equipped with a new generation IAL tweeter featuring a Beryllium inverted dome and Flax sandwich cone speaker drivers. This is an unprecedented combination of technologies to guarantee precise, detailed and warm sound. Focalās latest acoustic innovations have been integrated into these floorstanders encompassing a modern and distinctive design. These loudspeakers are perfect for rooms measuring up to 320ft2 (30m2) and theyāre also ideal for larger rooms of up to 645ft2 (60m2).
Focal's research is geared towards reducing distortion in every register. With Kanta, the treble register is reproduced by a new pure Beryllium tweeter. This IAL3 tweeter combines the IAL (Infinite Acoustic Loading) andĀ IHLĀ (Infinite Horn Loading) tweeters features, both of which help with the absorption of waves, thus lowering the tweeter frequency.
The engineers at Focal have revisited their choice ofĀ āFocus Timeā, which corrects speaker alignment, making them the same distance from the ear. The cabinet is made in one-piece integrally moulded wood. The Zamac base also brings out masses of character. With its spikes and cups, the base provides great stability from a very small footprint. Final details: the glass-covered top and magnetic grilles. When these are removed, they reveal the speakers'Ā flax cones, the final design touch that gives Kanta its unique look.
Several combinations are available with Kanta, to blend seamlessly intoĀ any style of interior.
TheĀ Carrara WhiteĀ andĀ Black LacquerĀ gloss finishes offer elegant and timeless white or black. In both cases, the finish covers the entire loudspeaker, cabinet and front panel.
The cabinet is also available in two walnut veneer finishes:Ā Walnut High GlossĀ orĀ Walnut Mat. The Walnut High Gloss model features a Black Lacquer front panel. Meanwhile, the Walnut Mat models are combined with two front panels in either:Ā IvoryĀ orĀ Dark Grey, with a matt finish.
