Own Your Collection
While Compact Discs may be a legacy format from the 20th century, many still possess a valuable collection of CDs. Your CD music is wholly owned, requiring no subscription to enjoy your favorite songs. Beyond the auditory experience, physical media allows you to browse through album booklets, enjoy the tactile feel of the paper, and use them as decorative elements in your home. Additionally, the distinct scent of CDs can evoke cherished memories, enhancing your connection to the music.
Matching Miniature and Exacting design
The Creek 4040 CD Compact CD player, featuring an extruded aluminum front panel, is designed to match the 4040A integrated amplifier. This fantastic CD player can used as a CD player or a CD transport.Ā
Thanks to technical advancements and circuit miniaturization over the past 40 years, heavy casework and power supplies are no longer necessary for precise digital music extraction from CDs.
Internal DAC
The 4040 CD player features a built-in DAC, offering convenient stand-alone analog audio output through a pair of RCA sockets, significantly enhancing the sound quality of digital sources. When used with the 4040A integrated amplifier, Creek recommends connecting via SPDIF coaxial or optical digital output to take advantage of the amplifier's superior ES9018K2M ESS Sabre32 Reference DAC.

Standby
When not in use, the Creek 4040 CD powers down non-essential circuitry to conserve energy. The timeout duration can also be adjusted in the menu.
